H.C.A. CONCERT WITH WORKS BY GREEK COMPOSERS – MEMA EIRINAIOU’S HONOURARY MEMBERSHIP in the BARON KIMON RALLIS HALL OF THE ‘PIRAEUS CONSERVATORY – Tuesday 4th April 2017

The H.C.A. collaborated with the ‘Piraeus Conservatory’ in this all-Greek composers concert, in order to honour Mrs. Mema Eirinaiou for her lifelong dedication and promotion of Greek ‘serious’ music. Our president Nicephorus Nevrakis presented the honourary plaque and membership to Mrs. Eirinaiou, together with vice-president Errikos Vaios and fellow member Peter Tsitsopoulos.

The Piraeus Conservatory Chamber Strings conducted by Katia Molfesi


The works performed in the concert varied considerably in instrumentation, and included works for solo instruments, as well as duos, vocal, choral and chamber orchestra works. All piano performers were Mrs. Eirinaiou graduates/students. The orchestra and choir were conducted by Mrs. Katia Molfesis.

The composers presented were as follows (as per the order in the programme):

John and Anthi Papadopoulos, Menelaos Pallantios*, Maria Kalogrides*, Manolis Kalomoiris*, Eleftherios Papastavrou*, Michael Ladopoulos, Alekos Xenos, Errikos Vaios*, Dionissios Visvardis, and Andreas Carbone*.

The members of the audience in the capacity-filled hall celebrated both composers and performers in their enthusiastic applause.
